Evgeni Galkin

Yevgeny Vladimirovich Galkin (in Russian Евгений Владимирович Галкин; born November 27, 1975 in Chelyabinsk, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player who played in the course of his career for HC Traktor Chelyabinsk and the HK Mechel Chelyabinsk.

Career

Evgeny Galkin began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the HC Traktor Chelyabinsk, for the first team, he was from 1997 to 2000 in the Super League, as well as the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, active. He participated in the 1998/99 season in part with tractor on a North American tour, where he ran aground with his team as a guest team in the Western Professional Hockey League. In summer 2000, the winger moved to town tractor neighbors HK Mechel Chelyabinsk, for whom he played in the next three years in the Super League.

From 2003 to 2005 Galkin ever played one year in the Wysschaja League for Molot - Prikamye Perm and HC Traktor Chelyabinsk. After he started the season 2005/ 06 at Mechel Chelyabinsk, he finished this when the city and league rivals HC Traktor Chelyabinsk, with which he ascended as second division champions in the Super League. From the 2008/ 09 season Galkin was a regular player of HK tractor in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League, before he ended his career in June 2011.
