Evgenij Kozlov

(EE) Evgenij Kozlov (Russian (EE) Евгений Козлов transcribed ( JE- JE) Yevgeny Kozlov, born 1955 in Leningrad, now St Petersburg ) is a Russian painter who lives in Berlin. The addition of EE is his stage name and since 2005 his sole signature.

Life

Kozlov's early interest in art was ( again since 1994 Stieglitz Academy ) promoted by visiting the middle school at the Mukhina Art Academy in Leningrad. In 1978 he became a member of the artist group " Letopis ". Subsequently, from 1982 to 1989, he was a member of the founded by Timur Novikov "New Artist ", the main non-conformist art movement of Leningrad, which he influenced by his style. His studio " RUSSKOEE Polee " ( The Russian field, 1989-1991) on the Fontanka 145 was the meeting point for artists, curators and gallery owners.
