Evgeny Tishchenko

Yevgeny Andreyevich Tishchenko (Russian: Евгений Андреевич Тищенко, Evgeny Tishchenko also transcribed; * 15 July 1991 in Belgorod ) is a Russian amateur boxer.

Career

Tishchenko is about 1.96 m tall and in 2009 Russian Youth Champion in the light heavyweight division, and in 2012 Russian U22 Champion and Russian heavyweight champion. 2010 and 2011 he won a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division after he was eliminated in the semi-final battles against Yegor Mechonzew or Nikita Ivanov.

In 2009, he won the light heavyweight division, the European Youth Championships in Szczecin, Poland, after pleading against Declan Fusco from England ( TKO ), Serdar Hacıoğlu from Hungary (5-0 ), Iaco Kisiria from Greece ( 2-0) and Cezary Samełko from Poland ( 3-0) had prevailed. 2012 was followed by the gold medal in the heavyweight division at the U22 European Championships in Kaliningrad. He had Leonid Scharnabajew from Belarus ( 16:5 ), Djibril Coupe conquered from France ( 23:9 ) and Gevorg Manukyan from Ukraine ( 22:7 ).

In June 2013 he also won the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan in the heavyweight division. At the World Championships in October of the same year in Almaty, he could be in the heavyweight division against Warren Baister from England (3-0), Sergei Korneev from Belarus (3-0), Juan Nogueira from Brazil (3-0), Rustam Tulaganow from Uzbekistan ( 3-0) and Yamil Peralta of Argentina ( 2-1 ) fight his way to the final, where he lost to Clemente Russo from Italy ( 0:3).
