Ewa Braun

Ewa Braun ( born August 2, 1944 in Kraków ) is a Polish art director and production designer, in 1987 won the award for best production design at the Film Festival Gdynia as well as the 1994 Academy Award for Best Production Design.

Life

Ewa Braun, daughter of writer Andrzej Braun, began her career as an art director and production designer in the film industry in 1968 with the television series Przygody psa Cywila and worked until 2004 at the scenic features over forty films and television series with.

In 1987 she won with Jerzy Sajko, Andrzej Przedworski, Andrzej Halinski, Violette Daneau and Michal Sulkiewicz the award for best production design at the Film Festival Gdynia, namely for the fantasy film drama Cudowne dziecko (1987 ) by Waldemar Dziki with Rusty Jedwab, Natasza Maraszek and Edward Garson in the lead roles.

At the Academy Awards in 1994, she received along with Allan Starski the Oscar for Best Production Design in Schindler's List (1993 ) by Steven Spielberg with Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley and Ralph Fiennes.
