Exidia
Stoppeliger Drüsling ( Exidia glandulosa, syn. E. truncata )
The Drüslinge ( Exidia ) are a genus of fungus Tremellomycetes from the family of the ear lobe fungal relatives ( Auriculariaceae ).
The type species is the Stop Lige Drüsling ( Exidia glandulosa, syn. E. truncata ).
Features
Drüslinge have zähgallertig to cartilaginous - gelatinous irregular gyro -, bowl - or pillow- shaped or spreading, sometimes brain -like fruiting bodies. The fertile top is moist shiny, wrinkled or covered with Drüsenwärzchen that faces the substrate bottom is sterile and smooth or rough shaggy - to fine-grained. After drying the Frk are hornlike hard, but live with supply of moisture again. The species of the genus are mostly dark colored.
Microscopic characteristics of the genus are the monomitische Hyphenstruktur with cylindrical, colorless hyphae, which have partially open buckles. The four-cell, basidia are globose - ellipsoid and have long sterigmata. Cystidia are absent. The thin-walled, colorless spores are cylindrical, curved, sausage or bean-shaped ( allantoid ), smooth and not stainable with Jodreagenzien. Sometimes they form secondary spores.
Ecology
The Drüslinge are saprobiontische wood residents who produce a white rot in wood populated.
Species
The genus includes about 35 species worldwide, for Europe are given 12:
Gyro Drüsling ( Exidia Recisa ) on a willow branch
Kandisbrauner Drüsling Exidia saccharina
Whitish Drüsling Exidia thuretiana
Within the genus sometimes creates an equality of scientific name confusion. Thus, in the literature with Exidia glandulosa on the one hand the Stop Lige Drüsling and referred to another of Warzige Drüsling. For the differentiation of the two taxa, the different author citations are therefore crucial.
The spots of tar - Drüsling ( Exidia pithya ) is by GJ Krieglsteiner as a variety of warty Drüslings ( Exidia plana ) construed.
Importance
The Drüslinge are no mushrooms. As Holzzersetzer they have no economic significance.
