Experimental Aircraft Association

The Experimental Aircraft Association (short: EAA) is an international, nonprofit organization that deals with experimental aircraft. The organization is based Oshkosh ( Wisconsin).

History

The EAA was founded in 1953 by the pilot and aircraft designer Paul Poberezny and now has over 170,000 members. The society operates a museum since 1982, the EAA AirVenture Museum in which 90 aircraft are on display. A total of 200 specimens belonging to the collection. The EAA AirVenture Oshkosh EAA organizes a major event with around 800 exhibitors, up to 15,000 aircraft and 600,000 viewers and supports since 1974, takes place every year in April Sun 'n Fun in Lakeland (Florida ).
