Ezekiel the Tragedian

Ezekiel was a Jewish tragedy poet and lived in the 2nd century BC, probably in Alexandria.

He wrote in Greek tragedy Exagoge and describes this as the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt. From the text - written in good Greek iambic trimeter - but are only seventeen fragments present.

It is the oldest currently known dramatization of biblical substance.
