Ezra Orion

Ezra Orion ( born 1934 in Beit Alfa, today Israel) is an Israeli sculptor.

Life and work

Orion was born in Kibbutz Beit Alfa and grew up in Ramat Yohanan. He studied first at the Bezahel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, then from 1964 to 1967 at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, and finally at the Royal College of Art in London. In 1967 he had his first solo exhibition at the Museum of Art, Ein Harod and the Museum of Modern Art in Haifa.

The artist lived and worked from 1967 to 2000 in Kibbutz Sde Boker in the Negev. His work consists of monuments, installation art and land art that are located in Israel.
