Fa Zheng

Fǎ Zheng (Chinese法 正), farm name Xiaozhi (孝 直; * 175, † 220), was an officer under Liu Zhang and Liu Bei.

He surrendered to Liu Bei 213 and helped him in the conquest of Shu Han. After Liu Zhang had surrendered 214, Fa Zheng was entrusted with the administration of Shu District. In the year 219, he defended with Huang Zhong Mountain Dingjun in the Battle of Mount Dingjun against the Wei and defeated the Wei general Xiahou Yuan. A year later he died.

In Luo Guanzhongs historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms Zhuge Liang says of him: "If Fa Zheng had still been alive, he would have not attacked Liu In Wu. And he would have done it yet, so he would not have lost. "
