Fabian Bruskewitz

Fabian Wendelin Bruskewitz ( born September 6, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is an American clergyman of the Roman Catholic Church and Bishop Emeritus of Lincoln.

Life

The rector of the Pontifical North American College, Martin John O'Connor, ordained him deacon on May 8, 1960. On July 17, 1960 he was ordained by Cardinal Vicar Cardinal Luigi Traglia a priest of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Pope John Paul II appointed Bruskewitz on 24 March 1992 as Bishop of Lincoln. The Archbishop of Omaha, Daniel Eugene Sheehan, donated to him on 13 May of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Glennon Patrick Flavin, retired bishop of Lincoln, and Joseph Leo chest, Auxiliary Bishop of Milwaukee.
