Fabio Baldato
Fabio Baldato ( born June 13, 1968 in Lonigo ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.
Fabio Baldato was a professional cyclist since 1991 and drove since then including for Fassa Bortolo and Alessio. In 2006 he drove Continental Team Tenax Salmilano which has an Irish license for the Italian Professional. Since 2007 he was represented in the Pro Tour and drove for Lampre- Fondital.
His greatest achievements include victories at Around the Henninger Tower, Coppa Bernocchi, Around the old town of Nuremberg and the Étoile de Bessèges. He also won stages at all three major country tours, as well as in Paris-Nice, the Tour of Poland and the Tour of Austria. Baldato, who wanted to end his career with the classic Paris -Tours, had due to injuries he sustained in the Eneco Tour 2008, already passed in late August announced his retirement.
