Fábio Faria

Fábio do Passo Faria ( born April 24, 1989 in Vila do Conde, Portugal ) is a Portuguese football player. He is currently at SL Benfica under contract and playing in defense.

Career

In the club

Faria went through during his youth, juniors departments from FC Porto and Rio Ave FC. The latter is the largest club of his home town of Vila do Conde. 2007 pushed the central defenders in the first professional squad and 6 January 2008, he played against CD Feirense his first professional game in the second league. His first goal scored Portugal's 21 February 2010 against FC Paços de Ferreira. In the same season Faria was a regular player and courted by many clubs because of its good performance.

Thus he changed only one season later the Portuguese giants SL Benfica, where he signed a four -year contract.

However, the Portuguese defender could not prevail on the team and only came to a bet against Maritimo Funchal in a League Cup match. In the spring of 2011, he spent the rest of the 2010/11 season to Spain for Real Valladolid. In August of the same year Faria moved further back on loan to Portugal to FC Paços de Ferreira. One and a half years, he played for FC Paços de Ferreira, before he moved again on loan to his first professional club, the Rio Ave FC for half a season.

In the National Team

Faria has to date still not played a game for the Portuguese national football team, but he was already for the U- 19 and U -21 in his country for use.
