Fabiola da Silva

Fabiola da Silva ( born June 18, 1979 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian inline skater who gained worldwide fame in the halfpipe. In the X Games she received seven gold and one silver medal at the LG Action Sports World Tour, it reached more than 50 medals.

In 2000, the Aggressive Skaters Association adopted the so-called rule Fabiola ( Fabiola Rule ), after since women may participate in the previously reserved only male skaters halfpipe competitions. Also in the mixed competitions Fabiola da Silva reached regularly place in the top ten. In Germany they came, among others, in 2005 at the Munich Olympic Park at the LG Action Sports World Championships and the 2008 Winter Clash in Mühlhausen, where they finished second behind Martina Svobodova.

In 2005, she stood as the first double backflip ( double backflip ) in a halfpipe.

2006, Fabiola da Silva separated from her then boyfriend, the skateboarder Sandro Dias.
