Fadi Chehadé

Fadi Chehadé (born 1962 in Beirut, Lebanon) is the founder and CEO of RosettaNet (Chief Executive Officer) of ICANN.

Chehadé grew up the son of Egyptian parents in Lebanon until he emigrated to the USA in 1980. In 1985, he received a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, in 1986 a Master in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. In 1986 he was naturalized in the United States.

After working as a systems engineer at Bell Labs Chehadé founded the company Nett Information Products that provide services to the B2B information exchange offered based on Lotus Notes. After acquisition by Ingram Micro in 1996 Chehadé led the development of the product for use in the Internet. In 1997 he founded RosettaNet to develop, in cooperation with several companies in the field of information and communication technology standard formats for the B2B information exchange.

2000 Chehadé left his CEO post at RosettaNet to market products to supply chain management of the company he founded in 1999 Viacore. After the acquisition of Viacore by IBM in 2006 Chehadé worked for IBM until 2009, most recently as General Manager for IBM Global Technology Services for the Middle East and North Africa, based in Dubai. Then headed Chehadé CEO of the software company Core Objects software and later Vocado. When he met Akram Atallah Core Objects, who later took a senior position at ICANN.

September 2012 took over Chehadé succeeds Rod Beckstrom as CEO of ICANN in Los Angeles. With his three-year contract he relates an annual salary of $ 560,000, and up to $ 240,000 bonus.

Chehadé is married, the couple has two sons.
