With 26 offices around the world, 3 of them in Germany, Faiveley is represented in Europe and North America as well as in China, India, Brazil and Australia. The Group has 85 % of their activities in Europe, which is equally abode of all the research and development departments. The largest German site in Witten (about 300 employees, turnover € > 110 million) brake rod, brake discs, magnetic rail brakes and clutches developed, designed and manufactured. The Faiveley Faiveley Transport Leipzig has a global center of excellence for Air Conditioning in Schkeuditz (about 250 employees).
Faiveley develops and manufactures on-board train systems. It offers products of the passenger access such as security gates (platform screen doors ), entry doors, movable stages and interior doors for passenger cars; Board air conditioning systems and pantographs, switchgear, contactors and main switch, integrated power management switch, roof equipment and security solutions. The company also provides on-board electronics, such as video surveillance systems, auxiliary power converters, monitoring systems and crash -resistant event recorder, wheel -slip and slip - protection systems and wireless transmission for operation and maintenance data, brakes and clutch, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic control, air supply, couplings and friction brake. History
Since the company's inception in 1919, the name Faiveley exists. The company started with electromechanical equipment parts for public transport such as taxis, subway and coaches. At the beginning of the 20th century was the first equipment order from the Paris Metro.
