Fällanden is a municipality in the district of Uster in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. The parish includes the village of Fällanden Fällanden and former Hofsiedlungen Benglen, Pfaffenhausen and Neuhausen.

Geography

The suburban community is located between the north-eastern slope of the Pfannenstiel chain and the western shore of Lake Greifensee.

History

Archaeological excavations prove Mesolithic dwelling places and Neolithic and Bronze Age settlement sites in the area of ​​the Greifensee to below the present village. Policy

Strongest party in the village is the SVP, which has a 30.79 % share of the vote since the last parliamentary elections. This is followed with 18.35%, the SP, with 17.05%, the FDP, with 11.15% of GLP, the CVP 8.9% and the Greens 8.5%.
