Fălticeni

Fălticeni is a town in Romanian Moldavia, in the south of the district of Suceava. It has about 30,000 inhabitants ( 2007). One quarter of the city's area is covered by orchards and lakes. The town is 25 km away from Suceava.

History

Fălticeni was first documented in the 18th century.

Economy

In the city there are factories in the furniture, dairy and textile chemicals business. Numerous distilleries for production of spirits are available.

Education

The well-known educational institution Colegiul National Nicu Gane has its place in Fălticeni.
