Family of the Year
Family of the Year is an American indie pop band from Los Angeles.
Band History
2009, the band was founded in California and in the same year they released their self-produced debut EP Where's the Sun, and in September the LP Our songbook in Volvox Music. In the same year they were engaged as the opening act for Ben Folds.
There were other EPs, but the breakthrough came only with the mid-2012 published second album Loma Vista, which made it into the U.S. Heatseekers chart and contained the hit Hero, who was successful in the rock charts. In the summer of 2013, the song also found its way to Europe and took over the radio inserts its way into the German singles chart, where it came into the Top Ten. The album was also placed in the charts then.
