Fanny Tacchinardi-Persiani

Fanny Tacchinardi - Persiani ( born October 4, 1812 in Rome, † May 3, 1867 in Paris) was an Italian coloratura soprano.

She was a daughter of the famous singer Nicola Tacchinardi and married to the composer Giuseppe Persiani.

At first she worked mainly in Florence.

1832 she sang at the Teatro dell'Opera of Livorno, and since then at all major stages in Europe at that time.

For she composed Gaetano Donizetti in 1835 in the title role of Lucia di Lammermoor. From 1837 to 1848 she worked permanently in Paris and London, but also made trips to Holland, Russia.
