The Farum Park is the home of the Danish football club FC Nordsjælland in Farum; 25 km northwest of the town from the capital Copenhagen. The football stadium is owned by the municipality Furesø. Next to the stadium is the Farum Park Sports & Conference Center. This includes a 36-room hotel; 4 suites and 8 lodges overlooking the stadium, including the restaurant and cafe SEPP.

History

The arena was built in 1999 currently offers 10,300 covered seats ( 9,800 seated and 500 standing ) and is illuminated by floodlights with 1,400 lux. In the late 1990s, the club still rose, then called Farum BK, in the first division on. Then we started in 2000 the venue to renovate and expand completely. In 2002, the promotion to the highest Danish league, the SAS League, and reached the third place equal to the UEFA Cup qualifying round. In the same year was the Farum Park one of the twelve host cities of the U-17 Football Championship. Among the three games and the final game between Switzerland and France (0-0 aet, 4-2 iE ).

Since the 2012/13 season, the Danish Association DBU allowed artificial turf in stadiums the SAS League. In March 2012, the decision was made in the stadium with an artificial green grass and a heating equip. Then agreed the club and the Furesø municipality. Thus, the venue of the FC Nordsjælland is the first artificial grass arena of highest Danish league.

The FC Nordsjælland qualified for the UEFA Champions League 2012/13. For the games but the club moves into the larger parks of Copenhagen.
