Fatback Band

The Fatback Band, Fatback only from 1977, is an American funk and disco band. Your end July 1979, published in King Tim III ( Personality Jock ) is considered the first rap song, which was released on a plate.

The Fatback Band was founded in 1970 in New York City to a concept of Bill Curtis. Curtis, an experienced drummer, wanted to doing the " fatback jazz beats" merge from New Orleans into a funk band. Fatback sees himself as one of the last dance and entertainment bands and said:

"Before Existed DJ's, it what them [ the bands ] who where making people dance ... "

" Before there were DJs, it was they [ the bands ] that brought the people to dance ... "
