Fatemeh Karroubi

Fatemeh Karroubi (* 1949 in Lorestan ) is an Iranian politician and the wife of the Shiite clerics and Iranian opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi.

Fatemeh Karroubi was Deputy Minister of Social Affairs under President Khatami. In the presidential elections of 2009, it participated in the campaign of her husband. According to media reports, Fatemeh Karroubi has been detained since February 24, 2011 together with her husband for political reasons.
