Fatou N'Diaye

Fatou N'Diaye ( born 1980 in Saint- Louis, Senegal) is a Senegalese actress.

Life

At the age of eight, she left with her mother to Senegal to since then to live in France. In 1997, she was discovered by the famous fashion photographer Oliviero Toscani. After some work as a model, she turned to acting. In 2001, she first stood in front of the camera, in a French television film, which was followed by a series of television and cinema productions.

In 2002, she played the lead role in the multi-layered, multi-award winning musical comedy Nha Fala - My voice. International further it became known in 2006 through A Sunday in Kigali, a love drama set in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. For this she was honored at several film festivals, including the best actress award at the International Film Festival of Marrakech.
