Faustini (crater)

Faustini is an impact crater on the lunar front side near the south pole, south of the crater Amundsen and east of Shoemaker. Due to its location near the South Pole in the interior of the eroded crater lies mostly in the shade.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1994 after the Italian polar explorer Arnaldo Faustini.
