FBI Counterterrorism Division

The FBI Counterterrorism Division (CTD; German, Department counter-terrorism ') is the department of the Federal Police Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States of America, which is responsible for terrorist cells within the United States. It also provides information on terrorism outside the country ready and pursued known terrorists worldwide. Since the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001, the CTD receives steadily increasing funding and staff.

It is based in Washington, D.C.
