FC Bayern Munich (women)

The women's soccer division FC Bayern Munich was founded in 1970. During the early years of the modern German women's football team was one of the great and won the 1976 German Championship. After a varied history since 2000, the team plays in the Bundesliga again, who already belonged to it as a founding member. 2012 won the Munich of the DFB Cup.

History

Between 1972 and 1990, the women's soccer club FC Bayern Munich was nineteen times in a row Bavarian champion. In the 1970s, the club was in its heyday. After a year earlier lost the final of the German Championship 1976 to be succeeded this Tennis Borussia Berlin 4-2 after extra time. From the champion team later coach Sissy Raith emerged. 1979, 1982 and 1985 reached the Bavarians also the finale, but were left without the desired success. 1988 and 1990 reached the final of the Bayern DFB Cup, but lost both times.

In 2012 she won the final of the DFB-Pokal in Cologne 2-0 against the first FFC Frankfurt.

Second Team / Juniors

The second team missed the 2007 and 2008 promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2008 /09 season was the team champion of the Regionalliga Süd, an increase for the season 2009/10 to the 2nd Bundesliga.

The U-17 junior women play in the B- Juniors Bundesliga Season South. Five times in the Bayern youth reach the final of the German Cup, but lost three times (2000, 2006, 2008 ) against 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam and 2007 against the FCR 2001 Duisburg. By a 3-1 final win against FSV Gütersloh 2013 was finally the first junior championship will be won.
