FC Caracal

FC Caracal is a Romanian football club from Caracal. He plays since 2008 in the third highest Romanian football league, the League III.

History

The FC Caracal was founded in 1949 in Craiova Craiova as Electro. Electro Putere played mostly in the lower leagues before 1989, the rise in the Divizia C and a year later made ​​the jump into the Divizia B. Again, the team was in spite of a deduction by two points and rose in 1991 in the Divizia A, where the steep rise in the 1991/92 season with a 3rd place and qualify for the UEFA Cup reached its climax. There came for a 0:6 and 0:4 against Panathinaikos Athens but already the From in the first round. In the championship was the 6th place not quite repeated the previous year's result. After relegation the following season Electro Putere 1994/95 increased from the end of the season after a defeat in the relegation against Politehnica Iaşi.

In the years 1997 and 1998 Electro Putere knocked twice on the door to the Divizia A failed each but scarce. After renaming in FC Extensive Craiova in 1998, succeeded in 1999 to return to the Divizia A, but it was already finished a year later after the 1999/2000 season. 2003 the association changed its name to Fotbal Club Craiova.

In 2004 left the club and moved to Craiova Caracal order. Therefore, from now on he played under the name FC Caracal. In the same year Nicolae Ungureanu coach of the team, managed by the following season to avoid relegation. In February 2006, Ilie Balaci with 37.5 % majority shareholder of the club. On April 17, 2006 Ungureanu received from the club's release, to train the first division Pandurii Târgu Jiu for the last games of the season 2005/ 06. His successor was the former assistant coach Nicolae Negrilă, who was replaced after the season by Jordan Eftimie. After a successful first round 2006/ 07 Eftimie broke his contract in January 2007 and was replaced by Emil Vlăduţ. This was released after the first two games of the season in which the club had just scored a point on 12 March 2007 and instead Nicolae Ungureanu committed as the new coach. FC Caracal ended the season in seventh place his squadron, launched in the following season, however, with two draws and eight defeats. Nicolae Ungureanu broke then on October 24, 2007 on his contract and was replaced by the former coach of Universitatea Craiova, Florin Cioroianu. At the end of the 2007/08 season the club was relegated as a table next to last in the league II and since then plays in the League III.

Florin Cioroianu dissolved in June 2008 his contract in order to subsequently become a youth coach at Al -Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, as a successor to Daniel Mogoşanu was fetched. With this, the club failed first as a runner-up his squadron at Gaz Metan CFR Craiova and finally in June 2009 in the relegation play at FC Sylvania Şimleu Silvaniei. Mogoşanu then left the club to be 2009 head coach at Universitatea Craiova on 21 June, but returned in November 2009 back to FC Caracal after the previous coach Gheorghe Ciurea released on October 19, 2009, despite standings after ten matchdays and the team had in the meantime been coached by former goalkeeper coach Sabin Ciurea. After three defeats and three draws in a row in the League III of the contract was terminated with Mogoşanu on March 22, 2010 and instead Iordan Eftimie committed to the end of the season. As in the first round in four games more than two foreign players each had been used, the club were subsequently deducted 12 points. After a short time of the dissolution of the club, the speech was finished President Jean Niţulescu in summer 2010, his long-standing commitment to FC Caracal and moved to second division Alro Slatina. He was succeeded by Stelian Veselin which Laurentiu Urâtu, the former coach of Sportul Visina Nouă, brought back as a head coach in his home town of Caracal.
