FC Emmen

The FC Emmen ( Football Club Emmen ) is a Dutch football club from the city of Emmen. He plays in the stadium Univé Stadium, which holds 8,600 spectators.

History

The club was founded on 25 August 1925 as a Barge Emmen Noord Natie Combi ( NEC). On January 20, 1927, the club changed its name to Voetbalvereniging Emmen ( vv Emmen ). In 1954, when the professional league was introduced, it was decided to remain in the amateur field. In 1985 they finally came into professional football and was called BVO Emmen ( BVO = Betaald Voetbal Organisatie ), while the remaining in the amateur football club retained the name vv Emmen. Since 2005, the gambling in professional football club FC Emmen is called.
