FC Etar 1924 Veliko Tarnovo

The PFK Etar ( Bulgarian ПФК Етър ) is a Bulgarian professional football club from the city of Veliko Tarnovo. The nickname of the club is " the boyars ." The club has been playing the 2012/13 season in the A Grupa.

History

The club was founded in 1924 from a merger of the clubs Mladezhkij SK, Slava Tarnovo, Feniks Tarnovo and Viktoriya Tarnovo. 1990/91 was Etar Tarnovo Bulgarian champion and took part in the following season at the European Champions Cup. There you retired in the 1st round against 1.FC Kaiserslautern.

In the season 2011/12 they won the championship in the second tier, a rise after a long time on the A Grupa.

Stadium

The club plays in the Ivaylo Stadium, which holds 18,000 spectators.
