FC Fakel Voronezh

The FK Fakel Voronezh (Russian ФК Факел Воронеж, scientific transliteration FK Fakel VORONEZ ) is a Russian football club from the city of Voronezh. The club was a founding member in 1992 of the Premjer League, the first Russian league, and many years was represented in professional football.

History

Soviet Union

The club was founded in 1947. By 1959, the club played without suffix as Voronezh city team. In that year, the club was renamed to Trud Voronezh. Since the year 1976, the club Fakel Voronezh means. In 1984, the team was able to reach the semi-final of the Soviet Cup.

Russia

The team from Voronezh was after the collapse of the Soviet Union, one of the founding members of the newly created Russian Supreme League. After the disappointing 1992 season, the team took verlaufenen in the relegation round the 17th place in the table and were relegated to the second class first division.
