FC Juventus București (1924)

Juventus Bucharest was a Romanian football club from Bucharest. It was a time of Romanian football champions.

History

Juventus Bucharest was created in 1924 from the merger of Triumf Bucharest and Bucharest Romcomit. First president and founder of the association was Ettore Brunelli, the Italian President of the Romanian - Italian Commercial Bank and sponsor of Romcomit. In 1926, Juventus dedicated the first foreign coach in the Romanian football, the Hungarians Gustav Hlaway.

In the season 1929/30, Juventus celebrated its sole Romanian football championship. From 1933, Juventus played to the Season 1940/41, through the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A.

After the Second World War Juventus was taken over by the state oil company to operate the new Communist government. As a result, often changed the club name of Distribuţia (1947 ) on Competrol (1948) and Partizanul (1950 ) to Flacara ( 1951). In 1952 the club eventually moved to Ploieşti, where he played as FC Petrolul Ploiesti on. The "new" club could still win the Romanian championship three times.

In the 1990s, a club called Juventus Cole Tina Bucharest was founded in Bucharest again, that has nothing to do with Juventus Bucharest and plays in the Liga II since 2010.
