FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih

The FK Krywbas Krivoy Rog (Ukrainian ФК " Кривбас » Кривий Ріг, Russian ФК " Кривбасс » Кривой Рог / Kriwbass Krivoy Rog ) is a Ukrainian football club based in the southern Ukrainian city of Krivoy Rog.

History

The club was founded in 1959 under the name FK Krivoy Rog (Russian Krivoy Rog FK ), until 1966, the club received its present name, in reference to the iron ore basin Krywbass.

In 1992, after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the resulting independence of Ukraine, Krivoy Rog Krywbas in the second Ukrainian League was filed. Due to the championship in the second division of the club in 1992 rose to the Wyschtscha Liha and has not descended again. The best so far placements were two third places in the seasons 1998/99 and 1999 / 00th After 2012/ 13, the club withdrew because of financial difficulties from the Premjer - Liha.
