FC Martigues
The Football Club de Martigues is a French football club based in Martigues, a characteristically industrial town in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône.
History
The association was created in 1921; 1964-1973 he called himself after a merger of all local sports clubs Sports Martigues and then took back to his old name. Was especially true in the 1980s, the FCM as a " branch " of Olympique Marseille, whose youth and junior players could gain match practice in neighboring Martigues.
The club colors are red and gold (French sang et or ); league team plays at the Stade Francis - Turcan, which has a capacity of 11,500 seats. The club is run by Vincent of Caserta, the current coach is Jean -Luc Vannuchi. (February 2012)
League membership
Since the 1970s Martigues had a professional statute; in the highest French league (Division 1 since 2002 Ligue 1 named ), the club was represented from 1993 to 1996. In 2003, he was demoted to the fourth-rate CFA, the highest amateur league in which he takes also 2013/14.
