FC Okzhetpes

The FK Oqschetpes Kokshetau ( Kazakh Оқжетпес Көкшетау Футбол Клубы, Russian Футбольный клуб " Окжетпес " ) is a Kazakh football club from the north around the city of Kazakhstan Kokshetau.

History

Name development

Kazakh Cup

The club was after the independence of Kazakhstan one of the founding members of the Kazakhstan Super League. 1993 rose Oqschetpes Kokshetau from the second division. After two seasons in the second division, the team returned to the top class. In the 2009 season the team finished in eleventh place in the league and had Premjer against the runner-up of the second division Aqschajyq Oral in a relegation match fight to remain in the Kazakh elite class. Although the game was lost with 2:3, the team remained in the Premjer league since Vostok Öskemen was forcibly transferred to the second division due to financial difficulties. The 2010 season closed the club down on the twelfth and last place and got down into the second division. By the second place in the Kazakh Football House were abolished, although the chances of promotion to the Premjer league, but increased in the following year 2012 from again.

European Cup

Internationally, the club came out Kokshetau for the first time, the UEFA Europa League in appearance. The lying before Oqschetpes Kokshetau FK Alma -Ata Almaty and mega sports have united to form a new team Astana locomotive, which was not allowed to start for a European competition. The club also placed in front of the Kaisar Kyzylorda from Kokshetau, Schetissu Taldyqorghan and Shakhtar Karaganda have either abandoned for budgetary reasons to participate or were blocked by the Kazakhstan Football Federation for the Europa League. Thus Oqschetpes Kokshetau allowed to represent as the ninth- placed team of the 2008 season their country on the European stage. In the first qualifying round for the UEFA Europa League 2009/10 the club met the Moldovan club Zimbru Chisinau and retired after a 2-1 home success and subsequent 0-2 defeat away from the competition.
