FC Olt Scorniceşti was a Romanian football club from Scorniceşti and Slatina. He played in the 1980s in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A.
History
The FC Olt was founded in 1972 as Viitorul Scorniceşti in the birthplace of Nicolae Ceauşescu. The club was led by his nephew. 1973, the name was changed to FC Olt Scorniceşti. The club tried and failed to walkover from the lowest division in the second highest Romanian football league that Divizia B. In 1978, the club sat in the battle for promotion to the Divizia B by a dubious 18-0 against the neighboring club Electrodul Slatina through and rose characterized by on goal difference over Flacara - Automecanica Moreni. The following year, the promotion to the Divizia A.
In the 1981/82 season came with the 4th place of the biggest success in club history. Because of its status, the association was always favored by official bodies, he placed but always in midfield. After the fall of Ceausescu and the end of the communist regime at the turn of 1989/90 the club was excluded during the winter break of the 1989/90 season from the league and disbanded in January 1990.
