FC Rosengård

The FC Rosengård is a Swedish women's football club based in Malmö. By December 2013, the club that had split off as a former women's football department of Malmö FF in 2007 ran as Lait de Beauté Football Club Malmo, usually abbreviated as LDB FC Malmö or LDB FC on and won under this name in 2010, 2011 and 2013 the Swedish league title.

History

On September 7, 1970 at Malmö FF founded a women's football department, after players had been sought on advertisements in the Swedish newspaper Arbetet. Under the name of Malmö FF Dam these took part in competitions from now on. The first two seasons they competed in the Arbetets damfotbollsserie Västra. Starting in 1973, the club played mainly in Division 2 Södra, at the time the second- highest division. In 1980, the team was second division champions in their season and promotion to the first division two-pronged.

In the early years Malmö FF Dam always occupied midfield places. In 1986, the team finished second in the Südstaffel and thus qualified for the play-off games. There they met up before the final, where the two-time champion Sunnanå SK defeated and the first league title in club history was celebrated. After a third place in the Südstaffel in the following year, MFF Dam qualified for the 1988 introduced single-track Damallsvenskan.

In the first year of single-track league, the club was third in the table and failed in the semi-finals of the play-off games with 0:4 - 1:5 defeats clearly Jitex BK. A year later succeeded as a table runner- finals, in turn, Jitex BK proved too strong and you had to settle for runner-up title content. In 1990, the league was won and also in the final reach two victories against Öxabäck IF and thus the second championship of the club. In addition, the Svenska Cupen was won by a 3-0 win over Öxabäck. Also In 1991, Malmö FF Dam celebrate the championship. The league was so dominating that nine points adrift at the end of the season of the Second- Djurgården Damfotboll had on the team from Malmö. In the championship finals, the team won against Gideonsbergs IF and Jitex BK. After 1993, the championship final was abolished, succeeded twice in a row winning the championship.

In the following years the team of MFF always occupied front seats, however another championship could not jump out. In 1997, with a 2-1 playoff victory against SK Sunnanå the second Cup victory the club's history. 2003 moved the club again in the Cup final, this time the final was lost, however. After Golden Goal Umeå IK was able to prevail.

After Malmö FF Dam ran into financial problems in early 2007 the naming rights were sold. For 25.5 million crowns the rights for eight years at the Swedish cosmetics company Hardford AB were awarded and the club took on 11 April 2007 its present name, which is based on one of the major product lines of the company.

Under the new name, the team placed directly determine the top three teams in the Swedish championship in seasons 2010 and 2011 she won the title. After the following year the inferior goal difference decided the championship bout in favor of the tied competitors Tyresö FF, dominated the team in the season 2013 again fight for the title and the distant runner- Tyresö FF to seven points.

In December 2013, the club announced a name change to FC Rosengård, which is to date so hot end club from now on as FC Rosengård accumulate 1917.
