FC SKVICH Minsk

The FK SKVICh Minsk is a football club based in the Belarusian capital Minsk, the current in the Perschaja Liha, the second- highest division of the country plays.

History

The SKVICh Minsk was founded in 2000 as FK Lakamatyu ( "Locomotive" ) Minsk. He carried this name until 2008. Thrice, 2002, 2004 and 2007, managed the club promotion to the Wyschejschaja Liha, the highest division of Belarus. However, it rose in 2003 and 2008 after one year and 2006 after two years of excellence again. Only in the 2005 season came with an 11th place of the league.

2003 celebrated the FK Minsk Lakamatyu by reaching the Cup final, his greatest success. This, however, was lost to Dinamo Minsk 0-2.

As SKVICh Minsk, the club was named after a fifth place in 2009 in the 2010 season second in the Pershaya Liha missing out on promotion in the Wyschejschaja Liha by a defeat in the relegation against Torpedo Zhodzina. In the 2011 season the club finished fourth.
