FC Torpedo Vladimir

The FK Torpedo Vladimir (Russian Футбольный клуб " Торпедо " Владимир " ) is a football club based in the Russian city of Vladimir. The club colors are black and white.

Club history

The club was founded in 1959 as Trud Vladimir. Until the collapse of the Soviet Union, the team has always played in the third- highest division of the USSR. In 1992 the team was inducted into the second highest Russian league, where they spent three seasons. 1994 Torpedo occupied the 19th place in the table and were relegated to the 2nd Division. The 1995 season was unsuccessful for the team, so that the torpedo was relegated to the third football league after a last place where the team spent the next two seasons. From 1998 to 1999 Torpedo again took part in the hosting of the 2nd Division. Only in 2010 by winning the Zone Championship in the 2nd Division of the re-emergence could be celebrated. Before the season 2012/13 to Torpedo Vladimir moved due to financial difficulties back from the 1st Division.
