FC Union Mühlhausen

FC Union Mühlhausen is a German football club from Mühlhausen / Thuringia Unstrut Hainich. Abode is the stadium of the floodplain, which provides 8,000 spectators.

History

The FC Mulhouse Union was formed in 1972 from a merger of the clubs post Mühlhausen Mühlhausen and motor as SPAs Union Mühlhausen. Both fusion clubs played over several years jointly with local rivals forward Mühlhausen in the district league Erfurt.

The targeted promotion to the higher class soccer succeeded the Thuringians in the 1988/89 season, in which there Mühlhausen could qualify for the DDR -Liga against harmful Kölleda. As Table Mühlhausen had after a season but again descend and was incorporated into the newly founded state of Thuringia League in the season 1990/91. In the same year was renamed to SV Union Mühlhausen. Athletic, the club had the national league Thuringia again left after only one season.

In 1994 another name change in SV 1899 Mühlhausen. This was a return to the designation in 1913 from a merger between Germania Mühlhausen Mühlhausen and Teutonia, resulting SpVgg 1899 Mühlhausen. The FC Germania Mühlhausen was a founding member of the DFB and adjacent to the SC Erfurt in 1895 one of the oldest football clubs in Thuringia. By further name changes until 1945, however, the direct line of tradition is unclear.

1997, divided the football department from the rest of the club under the name of Union FC Mulhouse. In sporting terms, Union Mühlhausen commuted between division and class. After the descent in the 2007/ 08 season, the team plays in the 2008/ 09 season in the western scale of the country class. Since the rise in the 2009/2010 season, FC Mulhouse Union plays in the league Thuringia.

End of March 2013 gave the club announced its intention to exercise its right ascension in the league no use.
