Feather duster

A feather duster (also: rebound, Wall brooms, ceiling broom, dust broom or dust mop ) is a working unit in the household, with which one removes dust at locations that are outside of the grip area - for example, at the transition from wall to ceiling.

Nature

It consists of a thin, slightly flexible rod to which many plastic bristles, feathers, or the like ( formerly silk) are attached. The bristles are soft and pliable, so that the furniture will not get scratched. Modern duster have a retractable and lockable telescopic pole to dust and cobwebs on narrow, hard to reach places, such as behind the heater or in high places, to be able to easily remove.

Operation

The dust adheres to the fronds by the static charge, as a mere re-suspension of dust would be detrimental to the health. For cleaning it is usually shaken out in the open.
