The Federal Chancellery BK (French Federal Chancellery CF, Italian Cancelleria federale CF, Romansh Chanzlia federala CF) in Bern is the Office of the Federal Council, the Swiss government ( the executive). History

The Federal Chancellery is the oldest permanent federal agency of Switzerland. 1803 Jean -Marc Mousson was elected the first Federal Chancellor. The firm, which he had to perform, was responsible for the agendas, correspondence and decisions of the Diet. He did this every year, together with the firm and the archive in the suburb of the Confederation pull, elected annually from the towns of Fribourg, Bern, Solothurn, Basel, Zurich and Lucerne (see also: Mediation constitution of Switzerland ). After 1815, only the suburbs of Zurich, Bern and Lucerne and the move remained was "only" every two years.
