Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development

The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development ( BMZ ) is a Supreme Authority of the Federal Republic of Germany. It has its headquarters in Bonn, the former Federal Chancellery, a second service headquarters are located in Berlin in Europe house.

History

The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation was established in 1961 to pool until then settled in various ministries responsibilities in the field of development cooperation. Tasks of the departments

The Division 1 (16 papers ) is for general administrative tasks and responsible among others for the cooperation with social forces such as NGOs, churches and political foundations for cooperation with the private sector, for citizenship and for development education. Implementing organizations by 2010

The BMZ commissions the implementing organizations with the implementation of the development policies of the federal government.
