Fédération Internationale de Philatélie
The Fédération Internationale de Philately (FIP ) is a World Federation of Philately.
It was founded on June 18, 1926 by European organizations. The association is headed by the Executive Board with a President and a Vice - President. The Fédération Internationale de Philately is organized in the legal form of an association under Swiss law and headquartered in Zurich.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the Association are:
- To promote stamp collecting and philately.
- Maintain friendly relations and friendship with all peoples.
- Establish a close connection to the philatelic trade and postal administrations and maintain it.
- Philatelic Exhibitions to promote through patronage and leadership.
Commissions
Each committee is headed by a Commissioner. There are eleven FIP Commissions:
