Fédération Togolaise de Football

The Fédération Togolaise de Football is the Football Association of Togo. It was founded in 1954 and joined FIFA in 1962.

Togo took part in the World Cup in Germany for the first time in 2006. Due to a dispute over participation premiums between the players of the national team and the head coach Otto Pfister resigned in training camp, but returned on 9 June 2006 back before the first game of his team. In January 2007, Tata Avlessi was association president, he succeeds of the criticized rock Balakiyem Gnassingbé.
