Federico Callori di Vignale

Federico Cardinal Callori di Vignale (* December 15 1890 in Vignale Monferrato, Province of Alessandria, Italy; † August 10, 1971 in Vatican City ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Federico Callori di Vignale studied in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University and at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy trays Catholic theology and philosophy. He received on 16 December 1917, the sacrament of Holy Orders, and then worked as an assistant treasurer of the pontifical secret, and as a pastor in various churches of Rome. In 1935, he became the canon of the Vatican Basilica and the Apostolic prothonotary, 1958, he took on the task of Majordomo in the Apostolic Palace.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on 15 February 1965 Titular Archbishop of Maiuca and took him shortly afterwards, on 22 February, as a cardinal deacon with the title Diakonia San Giovanni Bosco in via tuscolana in the College of Cardinals to. The bishop ordained Federico Callori di Vignale by Eugène Cardinal Tisserant, the Dean of the College of Cardinals, on 21 February of the same year in St. Peter's Basilica.

Federico Cardinal Callori di Vignale died on August 10, 1971 in Vatican City, and was buried in the chapel of his family in Vignale Monferrato.
