Federico Cattani Amadori

Cardinal Federico Cattani Amadori ( born April 17, 1856 in Marradi, Italy, † April 11, 1943 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Federico Cattani Amadori attended the seminar in Modigliana and studied in Rome Catholic theology and philosophy. He received on 5 October 1879, the sacrament of Holy Orders, and then worked for nine years as a parish pastor. From 1888 to 1906 he served as vicar general of the administration of the diocese Modigliana. From 1906 to 1909 he served as Apostolic Visitor in Marsican. He was then Papal Prelate House and secretary of Cardinal Commission for the regulation of questions of competence of the individual congregations. In 1924 he took on the job of secretary at the Apostolic Signatura Supreme Court. In 1926 he was appointed Apostolic prothonotary. 1935 took him Pope Pius XI. as cardinal deacon with the title Diakonia Santa Maria in Aquiro in the College of Cardinals. Federico Cattani Amadori died on 11 April 1943 in Rome and was buried in the parish church of Marradi.
