Fehlfarben
Fehlfarben is a German rock band from Dusseldorf and Wuppertal, founded in 1979 during a performance of The Teardrop Explodes in London.
The founding members were Peter Hein (formerly lunch break ), Thomas Schwebel (formerly lunch break, SYPH ), Michael Kemner (formerly YOU, DAF, later Mau Mau, 20 Colours ), Frank Fenstermacher (later the plan ), Uwe Bauer ( formerly battle of material ) and Markus Oehlen (formerly lunch break).

Band History
Fehlfarben is the sequel of the punk band lunch break, which in turn was the successor to the Ur - punk band Charley 's Girls. Both groups played experimental music before it was decided to combine the strengths of the scene to the court in Dusseldorf Ratingen for a more professional music project again.
The band idea and the name Fehlfarben taken during a holiday England, in which some members were infected by the local ska fever. Many pieces of the album, however, were clearly punk -heavy, while faster than the songs from lunch - time. 20 years after publication, the album reached the necessary sales figures for a gold record in 2000. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary appeared an edition in 2000, which included the former single and live tracks. About the personal link to the group DAF ( about bassist Michael Kemner and Kurt Dahlke aka " Pyrolator " ), it also came to the mutual release of the song kebab dreams on the album, which also reached cult status.
The only big hit of the wrong colors (Top 30 in Germany ) was influenced by the radio - style song One year ( Moving ahead ). Unfortunately for them, the atypical for the band, of an adapted Chic riff driven song by the public is perceived as their most important work. It was in 1982 against the wishes of the band as a single on the market than the German New Wave ( NDW ) was commercially at its peak - two years after the first publication on the album Monarchy & everyday. A first revival in the original cast (including Peter Hein ), there was the early 90s, there appeared two conflicting recorded albums ( The plate of Heavenly Peace, Live) and also the previously unreleased, 1984 recorded without P. Hein album pop music and dog breeds (1995 ).

In early 2008 Thomas Schwebel left the band. On 12 February 2010, the album was released happiness machines.
On May 26, 2012, the album was released Xenophonie. In September 2012, followed by a tour of Germany and Austria.
