Feist (singer)
Leslie Feist ( born February 13, 1976 in Amherst, Nova Scotia ) is a Canadian pop singer and guitarist, who performs under the name Feist Bitch Lap Lap or.
Music
Their musical roots Feist in a school punk rock band, in which she sang in her school days. The placebo group mentioned (not to be confused with the British band of the same name ) won a local talent contest and was allowed to perform as the opening act of the Ramones.
In 2000, Feist moved in with the singer Peaches and stepped on their album The Teaches of Peaches as guest singer under the name Bitch Lap Lap on.
2002 Feist published along with Broken Social Scene album You Forgot It in People, the 2003 Juno Award for "Best Alternative Album of the Year " won.
This was published by Universal in 2004 solo album Let It Die won two Juno Awards and also reached with the songs Inside and Out One Evening and the UK Singles Chart.
With Mocky, also from Canada to arise and longtime friend of Feist, she recorded the song Fighting Away the Tears, which appeared on album Mocky Navy Brown Blues. In addition, Feist appeared at the Kings of Convenience and contributed vocals to expertise and The Build Up at.
In the published in 2006 album Love the Euro group Hypnolove located with Get to Know the Girl another by Feist ( under the pen name Bitch Lap Lap ) sung and written song.
In autumn 2007, her song was used in the 1234 commercial for the Apple iPod nano. Through this advertising made it the single, be placed alone by Downloads, two months after the publication number 83 in the German single charts. Previously was heard in a commercial for Lacoste the song Mushaboom.
