Felix Slováček

Felix Slováček, actually Antonín Slováček (* May 23, 1943 in Zlín) is a Czech clarinetist, saxophonist, composer and conductor. He is married since 1983 to actress Dagmar Patrasová, his daughter René Slováčková is also an actress. He also has a son, Felix (* 1983).

Slováček graduated from the Conservatory in Kroměříž and the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. He has performed with the orchestra of Karel Vlach, as with the orchestra by Gustav Brom, the Rias Radio Big Band, DR Big Band in Copenhagen and the WDR Big Band. Slováček in the years 1969 to 1986 was a soloist of the orchestra by Ladislav Štaidl. He has his own big band today. His recordings have sold more than two million copies.
