Fenerbahçe Women's Basketball

Fenerbahçe Bayan Basketbol Takımı is a Turkish basketball club and represented the women's basketball department of the sports club Fenerbahçe SK.

Foundation

Fenerbahçe was founded as the first women's basketball team in 1954 in collaboration with the Çamlıca High School for Girls ( Çamlıca Kız Lisesi ). Immediately afterwards founded four other teams also a women's basketball team and the 1954/55 season İstanbul Kadınlar Basketbol Ligi went into operation. This collaboration also included a women's volleyball department.
